Marc Steffen Rapp

Professor of Business Administration
Philipps-Universität Marburg & Professor at CBS


Marc Steffen Rapp is a Professor of Business Administration at Philipps-Universität Marburg, where he is a member of the Accounting and Finance Group and Head of the Management Accounting Research Group (MARG). He is also affiliated with the research project Nordic Finance and the Good Society hosted by the Center for Corporate Governance at Copenhagen Business School. Marc’s research covers a wide range of topics in corporate governance, management accounting, and corporate finance. His work focuses in particular on the interplay between regulation, ownership structures, executive incentives, and corporate behavior. He is also interested in the effects of taxation on firm value and financing decisions. Previously, Marc served as Academic Co-Director of the Center for Corporate Governance at HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management. He regularly contributes to executive education programs and has been involved in consulting assignments for governments, financial institutions, courts, and management consultancies.

Trond Randøy

Professor of Corporate Governance and Ownership
Copenhagen Business School & University of Agder


Trond Randøy is a Professor of Corporate Governance and Ownership at Copenhagen Business School and a Professor of International Business and Finance at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway. He is a leading voice in international corporate governance research and currently serves as an editor for
Corporate Governance: An International Review. Professor Randøy has published more than 50 scholarly articles in high-impact journals including the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Management Studies. His research focuses on corporate governance effectiveness, ownership structures, governance in entrepreneurial and microfinance firms, and board internationalization. Trond combines academic rigor with practical insight. He currently serves on five corporate boards, two as chairman—including publicly listed firms MTI Investment SE and Sparebanken Sør—bringing real-world experience into his research and teaching. At CBS, Professor Randøy teaches courses on corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions (Virksomhedshandel og generationsskifte), and executive board education.

Lars Christian Ohnemus

Senior Advisor, PhD
Center for Corporate Governance, Copenhagen Business School


Lars Ohnemus is a Senior Advisor at the Center for Corporate Governance, Copenhagen Business School (CBS). He serves as Project Leader for the research initiative Nordic Finance and the Good Society and is Chairman of the Nordic Corporate Governance Network (NCGN). Lars is also Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Northern Horizon Group. With a background as a seasoned executive, Lars brings extensive experience from both academia and international board work. His broad Nordic and Central European business network plays a key role in identifying relevant research themes, building partnerships, and securing funding. Lars defended his PhD at CBS in 2010 and has been actively involved in teaching at CBS (eg. CBS Executive Fond) and the Baltic Management Institute. His main focus areas include corporate governance, board composition, fundraising, and strategy. In addition, Lars has contributed actively to public debate through op-eds and media appearances eg. in Børsen.

Jette Steen Knudsen

Professor of Sustainable Governance
The Fletcher School, Tufts University & Copenhagen Business School


Jette Steen Knudsen is Professor of Policy and International Business and holds the Shelby Collum Davis Chair in Sustainability at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. She is also a Visiting Professor at Copenhagen Business School, affiliated with the Center for Corporate Governance and the CBS Center for Sustainability. Her research focuses on the interface between government regulation and corporate behavior, particularly within the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and global governance. She explores how economically advanced governments can regulate the social conduct of multinational firms operating in developing countries, with a specific interest in employment and training opportunities for low-skilled workers. Professor Knudsen’s work is interdisciplinary, drawing from both political science and business-in-society scholarship. She consults on sustainability governance for major companies and international organizations, such as the Asian Development Bank, and contributes to CBS’s board leadership programs. She has held senior advisory roles, including leading a government-sponsored CSR think tank and managing CSR strategy for Maersk. She has served as President of the Tufts Faculty Senate (2021–2024).

Kasper Meisner Nielsen

Professor of Finance
Academic Director, Center for Corporate Governance & Center for Owner-Managed Businesses at Copenhagen Business School
Adjunct Professor, HKUST Business School, Hong Kong


Kasper Meisner Nielsen is Professor of Finance at Copenhagen Business School and serves as Academic Director for both the Center for Corporate Governance and the Center for Owner-Managed Businesses. He is also Adjunct Professor at HKUST Business School in Hong Kong. Professor Nielsen’s research spans corporate finance, household finance, governance, and behavioral finance. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as the American Economic Review, The Quarterly Journal of Economics, The Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Management Science. In addition to academic contributions, his research has gained widespread media attention, featuring in The Economist, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, and The Times of India, among others. He is also a frequent contributor to public discourse through op-eds and podcasts. Kasper teaches at CBS and Hong Kong University.
